LITERACY DESIGN COLLABORATIVE
The Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) is a loosely affiliated group of partners in education charged with designing model Core Curriculum units of study to ensure that secondary teachers have strong supports for teaching literacy in content areas. The free downloadable Guidebook is the main document used to explain LDC. The free LDC Template Tasks are fill-in-the-blank “shells” built off the Common Core standards. They allow teachers to insert the texts to be read, writing to be produced and content to be addressed. When filled in, template tasks create high-quality student assignments that develop reading, writing and thinking skills in the context of learning science, history, English and other subjects. LDC Modules help teachers teach students to succeed on assignments created using LDC Template Tasks. The modules are built on a common “chassis” so instruction can be shared across a wide variety of grades, content areas and instructional approaches. “Anatomy of a Module” is a print-ready handout that gives an overview of the LDC Modules. The handout is available to freely download in color or black and white.

SMARTER BALANCE CONSORTIUM
ample items for the English/language arts exams, crafted by work groups of the Smarter Balanced consortium in conjunction with test makers ETS and Measured Progress, offer a glimpse of what that group has in mind.
COMMON CORE APP
View the Common Core State Standards in one convenient FREE app! A great reference for students, parents, and teachers to easily read and understand the core standards. Quickly find standards by subject, grade, and subject category (domain/cluster). This app includes Math standards K-12 and Language Arts standards K-12. Math standards include both traditional and integrated pathways (as outlined in Appendix A of the common core) and synthesizes Language Arts standards with the Corresponding College and Career Readiness Standards (CCR's).
PARTNERSHIP FOR THE 21St CENTURY EDUCATION
The Partnership for 21st Century Skills is a national organization that advocates for 21st century readiness for every student. As the United States continues to compete in a global economy that demands innovation, P21 and its members provide tools and resources to help the U.S. education system keep up by fusing the 3Rs and 4Cs (Critical thinking and problem solving, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity and innovation). While leading districts and schools are already doing this, P21 advocates for local, state and federal policies that support this approach for every school.
